Riphah International University

Riphah International University (RIU), a private institution in Islamabad, began in 2002 under a federal charter. Islamic International Medical College Trust (IIMCT), a non-profit established in 1995, sponsors the university. From the beginning, the goal was to shape professionals with strong Islamic morals and ethical values. 

Moreover, the university aimed to resolve the deep divide in Pakistan’s dual education systems. Colonial-era education systems emphasized administrative needs, neglecting spiritual and ethical development. In contrast, Riphah integrates religious values with modern education for balanced personal and academic growth.

Vision

Riphah aims to lead in value-based education, research, and skill development, both nationally and internationally. It focuses on establishing world-class institutions aligned with global standards and Islamic principles. By integrating Pakistan’s ideology, the university seeks to nurture responsible and dynamic individuals. 

Furthermore, it emphasizes experience-based learning and outcome-driven academic strategies. Its initiatives include developing curricula, publishing research, and conducting surveys to enhance higher education quality.
