Four Things Students Should Verify
Before enrolling in a foreign degree program offered in Pakistan, students should check the following:
- Foreign Awarding Institution: Verify the overseas university that will award the degree.
- Pakistani Partner Institution: Check whether the local institution delivering the program is approved by HEC for that specific collaboration.
- Approved Degree Program: Confirm that the exact degree program being offered is included in the approved TNE arrangement.
- Designated Location: Verify that classes are being delivered at the location or campus approved by HEC.
HEC Warns Students About Unapproved Collaborations
HEC has warned that a foreign university being recognized in its home country or internationally does not automatically make an unapproved partnership in Pakistan recognized.
Similarly, programs offered through an unapproved local partner, an unauthorized degree program, or an undesignated location may not receive HEC recognition or equivalence.
