The University of Management and Technology (UMT) began under the ILM Trust’s vision. Founded in 1990, ILM brought together educators, professionals, and industrial leaders. Their shared goal was to improve both personal growth and organizational performance. Driven by a noble purpose, ILM focused on unlocking human potential in every possible dimension. Over time, ILM adapted to global shifts and the demands of a knowledge driven economy.
UMT has grown into one of the top institutions for higher learning in Pakistan. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) awarded UMT the highest ranking. Additionally, UMT led the HEC General Category for medium-sized private universities in Punjab for over two years. In 2020, the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings placed UMT among the top 600 globally for social impact.
Furthermore, UMT secured a position among the top 500 universities in Asia in QS Rankings 2021. UMT was also a finalist for the Times Higher Education Awards Asia 2020 in the “Workplace of the Year” category.
