Northern University

The EDR Trust and the NWFP Government established Northern University Nowshera, in the private sector under NWFP 2002 regulations. Moreover, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) officially recognizes it as a private degree-awarding university. In April 2005, the Governor of KP laid the foundation stone. Later, on November 14, 2008, General Sawar Khan, the University President, inaugurated the campus. Subsequently, in March 2009, Northern University was upgraded.

The university’s main campus sits on Wattar Walai Ziarat Kaka Sahib Road in Nowshera. This location offers easy access for visitors from all parts of the country.

Northern University provides uniform and comprehensive programs. These programs cover Business Administration, Education, Computer Science, Basic Sciences, Social Sciences, Allied Health, Nursing, Humanities, and related fields. Through these courses, students develop skills and knowledge essential for today’s challenges.

Vision

Northern University aims to gain international recognition. It strives to support the development of remote areas by excelling in education and research. The university plans to expand by establishing campuses in Nowshera and other regions lacking higher education institutions.
