The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) has officially clarified its position regarding the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT 2026), held on September 20, 2026.
According to the council, the test was directly conducted by provincial and regional government-nominated universities rather than by PM&DC itself. Under the law, these designated universities are entirely responsible for ensuring the transparent conduct, security, paper-setting, printing, storage, answer key development, and result compilation of the exam.
Authorized Universities for MDCAT 2026
The following regional institutions were legally authorized to handle and administer the MDCAT examination:
- University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore — For Punjab Province
- Sukkur IBA University, Sukkur — For Sindh Province
- Khyber Medical University, Peshawar — For Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province
- Bolan University of Medical & Health Sciences, Quetta — For Balochistan Province
- Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad — For Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK), Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
What to Do If You Have Complaints or Grievances?
Because PM&DC maintains no direct operational role in administering the test, the council has advised candidates that any complaints, queries, or grievances regarding the exam papers, results, or scoring must be addressed directly to the specific university that conducted their test to seek appropriate legal remedies.
You can check the official press notification details directly on the PM&DC Official Website.
