The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has extended the deadline for affiliated institutions to submit registration returns for students at the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) level.
The new deadline has been set for October 30, 2026, giving colleges and other affiliated institutions additional time to complete the registration process.
The extension was approved after affiliated institutions requested more time to complete the required registration formalities.
FBISE Extends Registration Deadline
Under the revised schedule, affiliated institutions can now submit HSSC registration returns with the normal fee until October 30.
The decision was taken on the direction and intervention of Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
The extension is intended to help institutions that have faced difficulties completing the registration process within the earlier deadline. Institutions affiliated with FBISE in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), along with other affiliated institutions, are among those expected to benefit from the additional time.
FBISE is also issuing a revised notification to inform affiliated institutions about the extended deadline.
Institutions can check official updates and notifications through the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) website.
Institutions Asked to Complete Registration Returns
Heads of affiliated institutions have been advised to use the extended deadline to complete the registration process for all eligible students.
The board has also directed institutions to ensure that the information included in registration returns is complete and accurate.
All details submitted to FBISE must comply with the board’s relevant rules and regulations. Institutions are responsible for checking the information carefully before submitting the registration returns.
Guidance Available for HSSC Registration
Institutions requiring further information about registration requirements, eligibility criteria or the submission procedure have been advised to consult the initial HSSC registration notification issued for the current academic session.
The notification provides the relevant instructions for completing the registration process.
Affiliated institutions have been encouraged to complete the process within the extended period rather than waiting until the final date.
What the Extension Means for HSSC Students
The deadline extension gives affiliated institutions more time to complete the registration formalities for eligible HSSC students.
Students should remain in contact with their respective colleges and follow their instructions regarding registration documents and other required information.
The extended deadline applies to the submission of HSSC registration returns by affiliated institutions. Students should check with their institutions if they need to provide any documents or information for the registration process.
Institutions facing difficulties or requiring clarification can contact the relevant FBISE authorities for assistance.
With the latest extension, HSSC registration returns can now be submitted with the normal fee until October 30, 2026.
