University of Science & Technology

The University of Science and Technology (UST) Bannu aims to connect diverse disciplines through innovative collaborations. Located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, UST Bannu was established by the Provincial Assembly as a public sector university. Since its foundation, it has remained committed to improving academic standards and research capabilities.

Initially, UST Bannu began its academic journey in September 2005. The first batch included 200 students in the Institutes of Engineering and Computing Sciences and Management Sciences. All admissions followed rigorous entry tests and interviews to ensure merit and quality.

The University operates independently under the governance of the Chancellor Committee until a Syndicate is formed. This committee, chaired by the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, was created under the 2005 Ordinance. It comprises seven experienced members responsible for policy decisions and institutional oversight.

The committee includes educators, religious leaders, business experts, and government officials. It builds strong connections between the university and broader society, ensuring relevance and progress. Such collaboration is vital for establishing a vibrant academic environment based on real-world needs.

Mission

UST Bannu mission is to promote learning, research, and innovation in both Pure and Applied Sciences. It also supports Social Sciences and Humanities to advance regional and national prosperity.
