The University of Sargodha stands as a distinguished public sector university in Punjab, Pakistan. It began its academic journey in 1929 with the founding of De’Montmorency College. Later, the college became Government College and received university status in 2002. Currently, the main campus is situated in Sargodha city. Additionally, the Agriculture College operates in a nearby suburb. Today, over 19,000 students pursue education across 22 departments and several affiliated institutions.

The academic team includes more than 550 faculty members, with over 265 holding PhDs. Seven faculties oversee one school, three institutes, and four constituent colleges. These faculties include Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Sciences, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Health Sciences, and Engineering. Moreover, about 1,700 administrative staff support academic and operational activities. The university also affiliates with 224 public and private colleges across Punjab.

Modern classrooms and research labs enhance the learning experience. The library provides physical and digital access to books and journals. Over twelve hostels accommodate all female students and some male students. The university offers affordable education with various scholarships and internship programs. Students receive support through the Career Development Centre and practical training initiatives.
