The Women University (Punjab)

Located in the heart of Multan, The Women University proudly stands as the city’s first female exclusive institution. Recognizing the urgent need for educational reform, the university initiated a continuous journey of academic growth. This initiative aimed to transform the newly founded institution into a thriving center of learning and innovation.

Moreover, to ensure widespread access to quality education, the proposal supported national development goals. By aligning with global academic standards, the university aims to empower local and national communities alike. Undoubtedly, for Multan’s residents, having such an institute nearby brings both pride and opportunity.

At the beginning, WUM operated from the existing Kutchery Campus of Government Degree College for Women. In 2012, the Punjab Assembly formalized its status under an Act passed in 2010. As a result, the college transitioned into one of the main campuses of The Women University Multan (WUM).

Additionally, a purpose-built campus on Matital Road has been completed for future academic expansion. With strategic goals in place, WUM remains committed to nurturing minds and encouraging personal growth. Above all, the university fosters a sense of community, values, and self discovery among its students.
