Sindh Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (SIPM&R) stands as the region premier civilian institute for multidisciplinary rehabilitation services. Over the years, it has built a strong foundation and continues to shape an inspiring future. Although the field of physical medicine and rehabilitation is relatively new in Pakistan, it is rapidly evolving. Consequently, more individuals with disabilities now seek a better quality of life and functional independence. This progress depends on healthcare providers and society recognizing the field’s importance and its practitioners’ role.

Over time, SIPM&R has expanded its scope, offering comprehensive academic and clinical experiences under one roof. With the support of skilled multidisciplinary faculty, it integrates education, research, and patient care. Importantly, it is the first institute in Sindh accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. This distinction allows it to offer residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Furthermore, the institute offers a broad academic portfolio in rehabilitation sciences. These include degree programs in Physical Therapy, Audiology and Speech Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Prosthetics & Orthotics.
