On November 11, 1980, the Islamic University, Islamabad, officially began its journey. This date, marking the start of the fifteenth Islamic century, reflects a vision for Islamic revival. It symbolized a new era of knowledge and hope for the global Muslim community. The university came into existence with a clear purpose. It aimed to nurture scholars and professionals grounded in Islamic teachings and values.
Moreover, it focused on shaping individuals with strong Islamic character and ethical conduct. These individuals would address the political, economic, social, and intellectual needs of the Ummah. They would also respond to the challenges of modern science and technology through an Islamic lens.
