Over the past 15 years, the University of Layyah has grown into a dynamic educational institution. Initially launched in 2009 as BZU Bahadur Sub-Campus Layyah, it served the local community. Recognizing the need for higher education in every district, it gained university status in December 2022. Now, the University of Layyah operates with 23 departments across six faculties and two campuses.
The Main Campus spans 125 acres on Karor Road, just 5 km from the City Campus on Katchery Road. Meanwhile, the City Campus covers 13 acres, serving as an accessible hub for urban students.Currently, the university offers 23 undergraduate programs and one specialized diploma. These cover a wide range of disciplines, including Sciences, Social Sciences, Business, and Languages. In addition, the programs in Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences help build essential human resources.
