The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore is a dynamic, globally recognized research institution. Currently, 128 affiliated colleges and institutes operate under UHS. In total, about 106,916 undergraduate and 9,157 postgraduate students are enrolled.
UHS was founded in 2002 as the first specialized health sciences university in Punjab. From the beginning, it aimed to transform medical education and research both qualitatively and quantitatively. Today, nearly all public and private medical and dental colleges in Punjab affiliated with UHS.
Moreover, the university emphasizes high quality instruction in Basic Medical Sciences. It also revitalizes overlooked fields like Nursing and Allied Health Sciences.
