The University of Haripur (UoH) marks a key advancement in Hazara’s higher education landscape. Located near the renowned Karakorum Highway, this region holds strategic and academic significance. Driven by a shared vision, stakeholders supported the idea of a university tailored to local needs. Their collaboration gave clear direction to this vital educational initiative.
Previously, Hazara University was the region’s only public university. Although it contributed greatly, it could not meet all educational demands. Moreover, it lies nearly 100 kilometers from Haripur, creating access barriers for many students. As a result, the need for a local institution became increasingly evident.
