Founded in 2008, TIMES University, Multan began with a mission to serve Southern Punjab’s educational needs. Initially known as TIMES Institute, it partnered with Punjab University and GCU Lahore. Through these affiliations, it produced skilled graduates in Electrical Engineering and Business disciplines. However, in 2009, the institute redirected its focus toward obtaining its official charter. This step was crucial to fulfill its core mission and turn its educational vision into reality. Without the charter, it could not nurture bold thinkers who challenge norms and inspire innovation.
Meanwhile, the university assessed the regional academic demands of Southern Punjab.
As a result, it collaborated with Bahauddin Zakariya University and GCU Faisalabad. These partnerships expanded programs in Public Health, Physical Therapy, Nutrition, Law, and more. Fields like Computer Science, Business, and Chemistry were also added to meet modern challenges.
