Sohail University, Karachi

Sohail University, Karachi began under the guidance of the S.M. Sohail Trust. The Sindh Provincial Assembly approved its establishment. Although the university is new, its roots trace back to respected institutions. Jinnah Medical and Dental College began in 1998, followed by Jinnah College of Nursing in 2009. Both institutions earned strong reputations for quality teaching and hands-on clinical training.

They work closely with modern, well-equipped hospitals to ensure effective learning. So far, they have produced over 1100 MBBS, 600 BDS, and 338 nursing graduates. These graduates now serve communities by fulfilling critical healthcare needs across the country.

Looking ahead, Sohail University aims to expand into new academic frontiers. We are building centers of excellence in science, engineering, technology, and management. Initially, we are launching the College of Physical Therapy and a BBA program. Moreover, the Institute of Historical and Social Research will offer deeper social insight. A postgraduate program in Basic Medical Sciences is also underway. This includes the development of a state-of-the-art Biomedical Research Centre.
