UET Kala Shah Kaku

The University of Engineering and Technology UET Kala Shah Kaku Sub-Campus, established in 2006, serves as a key link to industries along the Lahore-Gujranwala and Lahore-Sheikhupura roads. Covering 313 acres, the campus provides four-year bachelor’s degree programs in multiple engineering disciplines.

UET Lahore – A Tradition of Excellence

Initially founded in 1921 as Mughal Pura Technical College, UET Lahore later transitioned into Maclagan Engineering College. In 1923, Sir Edwards Maclagan, the then Governor of Punjab, officially inaugurated the university’s main block.

As a public sector university, UET operates under the leadership of the Chancellor, the Governor of Punjab. The university consists of seven faculties and 23 academic departments, specializing in engineering, business, technology, and scientific research.

Recognized as one of Pakistan’s leading engineering institutions, UET Lahore consistently ranks among the top, according to the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. The QS World University Rankings 2010 placed UET Lahore 281st globally in engineering and technology. Additionally, UET conducts the Engineering College Admission Test (ECAT) annually across Punjab province.
