The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Lahore has taken a major step toward ensuring transparency and fairness in examinations by introducing QR code enabled roll number slips for Intermediate Part-2 students. As the annual 12th grade exams approach, students and educators are welcoming this digital upgrade as a much needed measure to prevent cheating and maintain the integrity of the examination system.
The Intermediate 12th grade exams for 2025 will officially commence on April 29.Controller of Examinations Zahid Mian expects around 200,000 candidates to participate in these exams across various centers in Lahore. With so many students taking the exams, ensuring secure and foolproof procedures is more important than ever. That is exactly what BISE Lahore aims to achieve through its latest anti cheating initiative.
QR Code Roll Slips Introduced for the First Time
For the first time, the Lahore Board has included QR codes on roll number slips. This step marks a significant advancement in examination security. The QR codes verify each candidate’s identity and prevent impersonation or unauthorized entry into examination centers. The system has already proven effective in early trials by successfully identifying and stopping individuals who attempted to appear in the exams without being registered
- Private candidates can download their roll number slips from the BISE Lahore website by entering their registration details.
- Regular students will receive their slips from their respective schools or colleges.
- All candidates should verify the information on the slip, including name, roll number, exam center, and schedule.
What Your Roll Number Slip Includes
Each roll number slip contains vital information including the student’s name and father’s name, registration and roll number, name and address of the examination center, exam timings, and the complete date sheet. Most importantly, the slip prominently displays the QR code, which the examination center can scan for instant verification. Every student must carry this slip to the examination hall, along with their original CNIC or B-form. Entry will not be allowed without these documents.
