Government College University Faisalabad(GCUF)

The history of Government College University Faisalabad(GCUF) began in 1897 as a primary school, located in the current Government College for Women building in Karkhana Bazar, Faisalabad. It expanded to a High School in 1905 and an Intermediate College in 1924. In 1933, the institution reached the degree level, and postgraduate programs were introduced in 1963. After many years of growth, it achieved university status in October 2002.

GCUF has a rich legacy of academic excellence. Over the years, distinguished scholars and notable figures have contributed to its success in various roles. The university has produced exceptional individuals who have gained recognition both nationally and internationally.

The campus is located on Jhang Road, not far from the historic Clock Tower. The main campus covers 37 acres, and construction is underway for a new campus on a 200 acre plot, about 3-4 kilometers from the main site.
