The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa took a monumental step by founding Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM). The University draws students from various regions Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Dir, Chitral, Northern Punjab, Kohat, and Southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well as from surrounding tribal areas. Many students from these regions face financial constraints, limiting access to higher education despite their academic potential.
