Founded in 2019, the University of Mianwali was formerly a sub-campus of the University of Sargodha (2012–2019). Despite early challenges, it overcame hurdles with resilience and steady progress. Its impressive admin block, academic buildings, and modern labs enhance the campus environment. Within a short span, the university has grown remarkably. It has already earned recognition in both academics and extracurricular domains.

Currently, it offers BS, MSC, MPhil programs, Soon MS and MPhil programs in Natural and Social Sciences will be launched. Many BS graduates have joined prestigious universities or secured jobs in both public and private sectors. Students actively participate in inter-department and inter-university contests. They often achieve top positions in sports and co-curricular events. Moreover, the university regularly organizes seminars, workshops, and conferences featuring reputed scholars and experts.
