Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences

On 10th September 2003, the Honorable Governor of Sindh announced a major transformation. Gambat THQ officially became the Pir Abdul Qadir Shah Jeelani Institute of Medical Sciences (PAQSJIMS). With this shift, the institution came under the administrative authority of the Sindh provincial government. By 2005, the government approved a project to strengthen the institute’s structure and launch a medical college.

Subsequently, Gambat Institute attained self-degree awarding status through an official act passed on 12th April 2011. The Honorable Chief Minister of Sindh formally declared it an Independent Degree Awarding Institute. Eventually, on 31st March 2015, the Higher Education Commission granted it a “No Objection Certificate.”

Today, the institute stands firm on its strong academic and medical foundation.
Its transparent admission process and vigilant examination system reflect its institutional integrity. Because of this, it is steadily gaining recognition among Pakistan’s leading medical institutions.
