City University of Science and Information Technology (CUSIT) Peshawar

City University of Science and Information Technology (CUSIT) Peshawar ranks among the earliest private universities chartered by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government. It holds recognition from the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and accreditation from the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). This university evolved from the Peshawar Model Educational Institutes (PMEI), established in 1979. From the start, PMEI aimed to provide affordable, high-quality education.

Initially, Muhammad Zahoor Sethi, the founder, opened a modest primary school with 300 students. Over time, consistent efforts by skilled faculty and committed leadership led to remarkable expansion. Today, the institution operates nine school campuses and five degree colleges three for boys, two for girls educating over 23,000 students.
