Air University began its journey as a federally chartered public institution in October 2002. From the outset, it aimed to develop skilled professionals, particularly in engineering and applied sciences. Over the years, more than twenty batches have graduated in Electrical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. These graduates now contribute as industry professionals and emerging academics, both locally and internationally.
Although the Faculty of Engineering is still evolving, it continues to overcome the typical challenges of a growing institution. Faculty advancement and academic improvement remain ongoing priorities. The department currently emphasizes five key areas: electronics, telecommunications, power, mechatronics, and computer engineering. Additionally, an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program is offered under the Institute of Avionics and Aeronautics.
Our faculty members possess strong academic backgrounds and extensive experience. They are deeply aligned with the university’s vision and mission. Well equipped laboratories enhance the practical learning experience, supporting students’ technical and professional growth. These labs feature advanced tools and equipment that complement classroom knowledge, nurturing both theoretical and hands-on skills.
We offer fully functional undergraduate and postgraduate engineering programs, including MS and PhD degrees. All programs have received Level II accreditation under the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) framework by the Pakistan Engineering Council since 2018. This recognition reflects our continuous commitment to providing high-quality engineering education.
