In October 2002, the Chancellor of the UET, Peshawar, inaugurated UET Abbottabad Campus. The campus was established in the old premises of Ayub Medical College.
Abbottabad has earned a reputation as the “City of Schools and Colleges.” Families from all over the country prefer sending their children to study at well-known institutions like Army Burn Hall, Abbottabad Public School, and COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. The city’s pleasant climate makes it an ideal location for education.
The establishment of UET Peshawar’s campus in Abbottabad met a longstanding public demand. It also strengthened the city’s reputation as a center for higher education. Additionally, five medical colleges in Abbottabad attract students from across the country, further enhancing the city’s appeal as an educational hub.
